Instructional DVD Volume.3 2013

In this instructional DVD you will learn 3 complete choreographies.

1- Egyptian Oriental song technique and choreography.
2- Saidi with cane technique and combinations.
3- Shaabi technique and choreography.

Each dance you will learn today will be broken down into sections, first I will explain the technique and count it, second, I will demonstrate with the drum and third will demonstrate with the music.

Oriental song technique and choreography

Set to a song called “Fakir” which means in this song, “do you think?” The singer is: Fadel Shakir this song is romantic and dramatic, I will explain the hand gesture that goes along with the words, and the movements in this choreography are very soft as the music. The song translation is written on the cover of this DVD.

Saidi with cane technique and combinations

The 4 combinations that I will be teaching you today can be used with any of the Saidi rhyme, and it has a little bit of oriental flavour in it, so you can incorporate into the Saidi sections of your Oriental music, or you can also Use them in your choreographies or be inspired to create your own combinations.

Shaabi technique and choreography

The title of the shaabi song that I’m using for this choreography is “Elwad Gannani” which means “this guy is driving me crazy” it’s a story about a guy chasing a girl and he never stops, and that drives her crazy, the song is very funny, meaningful and very playful I will breakdown the technique and explain all the hand gestures in this choreography.
– I hope you will find this DVD very helpful and enjoyable.
